Aromatherapy Monday: Ginger Root

Zingiber officinale  Ginger Root is the aroma of the week.  It’s aroma is warm, woody, and slightly spicy. It is steam distilled from Madagascar roots. There are many benefits to using Ginger:

  • Warms aching muscles and joints
  • Good for chest congestion
  • Soothes upset stomach or heartburn
  • Is an analgesic when blended with Cinnamon (diluted)

Blends well with Sweet Orange, Lemon, Cinnamon Leaf or Bark, woods and resins.
