Aromatherapy Monday: Cedarwood

This week we’re taking a look at Atlas Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica). It is steam distilled from the wood originating in Morocco. When you get a whiff, it may bring a vision of cedarwood chests. This is that very scent. It’s a slightly sweet woodsy smell, so even if you aren’t a fan of the more earthy aromas, try it out.

Some benefits of Cedarwood:

  • Respiratory issues, good as a chest rub
  • antibacterial properties
  • helps with dandruff and acne
  • calms anxiety
  • Great for confidence¹

Blends beautifully with all citrus oils, resins, woodsy, and herbaceous aromas.
